Cultivating creativity and a sense of adventure with a camera in my hand.

Hi, I am Ash, the content creator behind Highfive to Happiness.

I am passionate about photography - or maybe that is an understatement: it is my love language.

My goal is to use photographs and visual storytelling to inspire families to discover a life of full time travel.

Where Did It All Begin?

In 2018 a close family member was diagnosed with a rare form of dementia at 58 years old. Just like that everything changed. This devastating news impacted us in many ways.

We were forced to look at our own lives and really evaluate how we wanted to spend our time here on earth and the idea of simplifying our lives, ditching the 9-5 and filling our time with experiences seemed very appealing, and that's when the idea of Highfive to Happiness was born.

Fast forward 5 years later and we are now living our best nomad life and we want to help you do the same!

Pickles the Airstream

If selling your house and pretty much everything you own to If selling your house and pretty much everything you own to live in 250 square feet with your family isn’t chaotic enough, how about buying a vintage Airstream Reno project?

Meet Pickles! Affectionately named by my 6 year old daughter.

Pickles is a 1978 Sovereign Land Yacht that has already had some modifications from its previous owner. Over the next couple of years my husband and I plan to make some major upgrades so be sure to stick around to see the transformation!

Our Values

Be Authentic: I want to create content that lets our authenticity shine through showcasing the glamorous and the not so glamorous side of full time travel.

Live Intentional: As a mom I want to be super intentional about how I spend my time, money, and resources.

Community: I want to create a safe and inviting community of like minded people in the travel space. Whether you travel full time or dream of travelling full time - Everyone is welcome.

Shop Local: Keeping our dollars in the local community has always been a priority for our family. By shopping small we are helping each community thrive plus we get to tap into the local culture and history of each destination.

EcoTourism: We aim to support companies that are conscious of environmentally friendly practices, to protect the natural and cultural heritage of a destination.

Experiences Over Things: This one is an obvious value for us but in case you needed convincing: studies have shown that spending our hard-earned money on experiences actually makes us happier.
